Abstract
|

|
The transverse vaginal septum is a extremely rare congenital vaginal malformation, and there are only a few pertinent reports in the literature.
If the septum is imperforate external menstrual bleeding is impossible and symptoms will arise soon after the menarche.
In rare circumstances, a large mucocolpometra will collect behind an imperforated transverse vaginal septum.
The authors have experienced a case of pyocolpometra caused by imperforated transverse vaginal septum and report with the brief reviews of literature.
